Ayer Street started as an Auckland townhome looking for a fire escape. However, our designers at Stairworks knew it could be much more, and in turn created our tallest external spiral staircase to date as a glamorous, backyard work of art! This was an interesting design because it had a full stair at the bottom that almost looks like it belongs on a straight staircase, which was a bit different for a modern home design. And the install wasn’t easy either as it required two cranes to lift the spiral stairs and put it into place.
